concrete, mild steel, fluorescent tube lights.

Five figures stand in a stark, clinical space. Heavy concrete bases anchor straight metal sheets, edges clean and severe.  fluorescent tubes pierce the metal, flickering. the lights leave trailing wires mapping out a scribble/observation.

The piece summarises the space it inhabits—a humanised version of an institutional building. The title referring to both the atomic/structural sense of matter and its significance.
